Problems with Region Census

I'm having some issues with region census. It has trouble loading up the Brisbane1 region. The region seems to be too large for it. It loads up the other regions fine, but nearly always crashes when trying to load up Brisbane1. It's loaded up once and I got one region view from it before it crashed again. I'll need to find some way of constructing regional views. Here is the region as it stands. Unfortunately, the city borders are turned off so you don't quite get the feel of the size of the area.

  1. Wow, that is one sweet looking region, a great mix of terrains, and I really like the meandering rivers and the inland lakes.

I just installed the region census, and it seems to load my region just fine. Though larger then normal, my region isn't as large as yours at first look. Mine measures 6 x 7 large tiles and is made up of 72 large and medium tiles.
If I'm not mistaking yours looks quite a bit bigger.

  2. My home city.
I'm really looking forward to seeing another city sitting on the terrain, it will be quite interesting for me.

  3. n_wilson: It's 20 by 18.5. It's huge.

Shilka: Yes, mine is equivalent to 370 large tiles, which is clearly far too large for region census. It loads other regions with no problem.

CSGdesign: I loved the look of the region. It had everything, coastline, mountains, rivers and islands. I just hope the scale of it isn't going to cause it to crash in the future.

  4. I'm pretty sure that crashing has nothing to do with the over-all region, but rather on a city-tile basis. If you can handle large city tiles then it doesn't matter how many of them your region is comprised of, it only ever loads one at a time.
Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how it works.
